Volunteers Volunteers take seniors to medical appointments, religious services, shopping, and other necessary errands and appointments. They also make friendly home visits, telephone reassurance calls, and perform light home and yard maintenance. Care Receivers Seniors 60 years and older contact the Faith in Action (FIA) office to see if they are eligible to receive services. To be eligible they must 1) reside in Bloomington-Normal and 2) be 60 years or older and not living in a nursing home or long term care facility. A home visit is required to determine their needs and how to best meet them. Once eligible, care receivers call or use this website to ask for assistance.
